Marjorie J. Williams, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Newton, Mass., daughter of Nelson A. and Margaret McGarvey McGrath. She and James H. Williams were married Feb. 15, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas. He died May 16, 1994.
Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Newton High School. She served in the U.S. Air Force from February 1943 to March 1944. She lived in Cape Girardeau more than 50 years, and had been a cashier at Childs IGA.
Survivors include three sons, Robert N. Williams of Moscow Mills, Mo., James H. Williams Jr. of Riggins, Idaho, John A. Williams and wife Sharon of Cape Gir-ardeau; a sister, Ellen Chasson of Dennisport, Mass., three grandsons, Robert M. Williams of O'Fallon, Mo., Ryan Williams of Moscow Mills, Spencer Williams of Cape Girardeau; and a granddaughter, Morgan Williams of Cape Gir-ardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be said at 7.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
