Marjorie L. Williams, 98, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Oct. 26, 1916, in Monroe, Nebraska, to Henry Robert and Martha Elizabeth Gertch Weber. She and Amos G. Williams were married Aug. 26, 1941, in Salem, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Marjorie was a longtime faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She had been a member of the Faculty Dames at Southeast Missouri State University. She also volunteered at Southeast Hospital and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary there and was a member of PEO.
Survivors include a son, Fred (Charlene) Williams of Jackson; a brother, Robert Weber of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Michael (Gail DiRaimondo) Williams of Los Angeles and Amanda (Chris) Veatch of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, James Michael Williams; and two sisters, Joyce E. Weber and Eleanor Patton.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Grace United Methodist Church.
