BERNIE -- Marjetta Adenline Boyle, 73, of Bernie died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1925, in Old Hickory, Ark., daughter of Eligah Martin and Jessie Ford Massingill. She and Roy A. Boyle were married Feb. 8, 1985.
Boyle was a cottage parent at Pinecrest State School in Pineville, La., retiring in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bernie.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Martin "Marty" Bryan of Pineville; two daughters, Vonette McKithern of Pineville, Kathy Adams of Baker, La.; and a stepson, Gerlyn Boyle of Bernie.
Also surviving are five sisters, Connie Anderson of New Orleans, La., Millie Deeter, Nina McReynolds and Syble Rankin of Morrilton, Ark., Virginia Pennington of Jackson, Miss.; a brother, E.M. Massingill of Hattieville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and eight great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jerry Darby and John Knapp officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
