CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Marion Faye Pigg Putnam of Charleston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Putnam, 59, died Thursday, April 9, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Lilbourn, daughter of James T. and Waymon Brewer Copous. She first married Olain Pigg. She later married Gene Putnam.

Putnam was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lee Pigg of Jonesboro, Ark., Phillip Pigg of Storm Lake, Iowa; four daughters, Libby Hicks and Rita Nance of Sikeston, Sheila Adams of Charleston, Tammy Achter of Anniston; a sister, Mella Batts of Sikeston; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, a sister, and two grandchildren.
