WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Marion S. Hale, 69, of Wappapello passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Duncan and Myrtle Bailey Hale. He married Linda Hamilton, who preceded him in death. He and Edith Wise were married March 17, 1983...

WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Marion S. Hale, 69, of Wappapello passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Duncan and Myrtle Bailey Hale. He married Linda Hamilton, who preceded him in death. He and Edith Wise were married March 17, 1983.

Marion worked for 20 years for Winbco Tank, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 83 of Kansas City.

In addition to his wife, loving survivors include four sons, Robert Hale of Benton, Mo., Rodney (Judy) Hale of Advance, Mo., and Tim Locke and Mike Locke of Burfordville; three daughters, Jennifer O'Donnell of Bourbon, Mo., Mary McGowan of Cape Girardeau and Patsy (Jerry) Lucas of Burfordville; three brothers, Donnie Hale of East Prairie, Harold Hale of Advance and Frankie Hale of St. Louis; two sisters, Martha Richmond of Longview, Texas, and Margaret Bailey of Doniphan, Mo.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Hale; and a grandson, Kenneth Locke.

Friends may call from noon until time of service Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
