ANNA, Ill. -- Marion "Dink" Parks, 85, of Anna, Ill., died Sunday, May 22, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 8, 1908, at Ullin, Ill., son of Willis and Eva Cantrell Parks.

He married May Kearney, March 22, 1927.

Parks worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 46 years, before retiring in 1973. He had worked as a bridge carpenter, switchman and engine foreman at the Markham Yards in Chicago, Ill.

He was a member of the United Transportation Union.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Leo Parks of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Marian Tienstra of Pompano Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday at the Ullin Cemetery. Burial will follow.
