PERRYVILLE -- Marion Bevetta Bunge, 79, of Perryville died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 5, 1919, at Sturdivant, daughter of William E. and Ora L. Jones Hunt. She first married JW Smith May 10, 1937, in Marble Hill. He died March 25, 1964. She later married Fred O. Bunge March 26, 1965, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died in 1983.
Bunge had been a chauffeur with Army Corps of Engineers in Anchorage, Alaska. She lived in Anchorage from 1951-60, in Las Vegas from 1960 until moving to Perryville in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Bert Smith of Las Vegas; a daughter, Ora-Zella Mercer of Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; three sisters, Ilene Owens of St. Louis, Verna Bernice Foulk of Perryville, Sara Glaser of Florissant; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Mark Anderson will officiate. Private burial will be held later in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
