SIKESTON -- Marion F. "Bud" Chambers, 76, of Morehouse, died Friday, Dec. 13, at his home.
He was born April 17, 1920, in Morehouse, son of Francis Marion and Henrietta Benson Chambers.
He married Ida F. Denton on Nov. 15, 1952 in Piggott, Ark. She preceded him in death Nov. 3, 1987.
He was a member of Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He worked 40 years for Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include a son, Robert L. Miller, of Bloomington, Ind.; a daughter, Lynda Cagle of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Dale McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
