SCOPUS, Mo. -- Marion Ray Baker, 88, of Scopus passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 23, 1927, at Advance, Missouri, to Eddie and Reva Marie Bond Baker. He and Eugenia M. Pulliam were married Dec. 25, 1946.
Marion had worked for the Florsheim Shoe Factory and was a member of Mount Zion General Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Baker of Benton, Missouri, and Richard Baker of Jackson; a daughter, Linda Kovacs of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Billy Jo Baker of Modesto, California; two sisters, Virginia Clifton of Perryville, Missouri, and Vicky Lange of Scott City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brad Baker; one brother, James; and a sister, Nora.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus.
