MARION ABERNATHY

MARBLE HILL -- Marion Abernathy, 88, of Puxico, died at Dexter Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994.

He was born at Grassy, March 21, 1906, son of Ruben and Parley Myers Abernathy. He married Rose Hill March 3, 1990.

Abernathy was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene Abernathy of St. Charles, Bob Abernathy of Marble Hill; three daughters, Billie Basye and Mary Hagen of Florissant, Jo Ann Sauvageau of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Roy Abernathy of Wood River, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
