Marilyn R. Sticht, 62, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center after suffering from Alzheimer's and complications of the disease.

She was born Sunday, March 27, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to William Earl and Mary Margaret Pascal Lynn.

She attended Nell Holcomb grade school and later in life completed her GED from Cape Vo-Tech. Marilyn worked throughout Cape Girardeau, which included Buckner Ragsdale as a seamstress, a cleaner and at Southeast Hospital. Her last place of employment was as a stocker at Wal-Mart.

She enjoyed sewing, seeing her family succeed in life and seeing the fruits of her labor. She was a wonderful mother and sister and loved to laugh. She enjoyed all kinds of music and truly enjoyed dancing.

Survivors include a brother, Bill (Judy) Lynn of Jackson; brother, Mike (Noreen) Lynn of Barnhart, Missouri; sister, Angela Diane Lynn of Jackson; brother, Dean (Amanda) Lynn of Cape Girardeau; sister, Jane (Eddie) Pascal of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister, Rose (Ron) Andrews of Jackson; daughter, Teresa Lynn and her partner, Dianna Allmaras; son, Michael Sticht (fiance, Angela) and their children Briunna, Braylin and Broznin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Wayne Lynn; and sister, Paula Marie Lynn.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lucas Clabough officiating. Private burial will be at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

The family especially wishes to thank Lisa Reitzel and the staff at Miner Nursing Home for the incredible care Marilyn received.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
