Marilyn Reece, 65, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, to Howard and Lois Davis Cobb. She and Bill Reece were married Nov. 21, 1970, in Cape Girardeau.
Marilyn graduated from Central High School in 1967 and attended Southeast Missouri State University two years. She worked at Calloway County Hospital in the childcare department. She enjoyed many good times at Kentucky Lake and loved her animals. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Murray.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Reece of Murray; a brother, Harold Cobb of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Jason (Karen) Reece of Oak Ridge and Josh Reece of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jean Ann Schoen of Florissant, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bronwyn Reece, Daegan Reece and Piper Reece, all of Dallas, and Robert Reece of Oak Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Boyd Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
