Marilyn Sue Baker Montgomery, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, to Burton A. and Luella Luchow Andrews. She and Jim D. Baker were married Dec. 29, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. Jim passed away in 2003. Marilyn Sue Baker Montgomery, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, to Burton A. and Luella Luchow Andrews. She and Jim D. Baker were married Dec. 29, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. Jim passed away in 2003. She and Robert Montgomery were married March 4, 2011, in Sikeston, Mo.

Marilyn was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, was a party bridge player and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Montgomery of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sherry (Terry) Fitzgerald of Sikeston; two sons, Jeff (Jeanne Hoffman) Baker of Cape Girardeau, Todd (Reida) Baker of Sikeston; a stepson, James Montgomery of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Cory (Melissa) Fitzgerald, Garret Baker, Brandon Hindman, Tyler Baker, Seth Baker, Dallas Hall and Brooke (Darin) Dodson; five stepgrandchildren, Cortney, Gabe, Lucas, John and Nick Montgomery; four great-grandchildren, Tori, Morgan and Cole Fitzgerald, and Reed Dodson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim D. Baker; parents, Burton and Luella Andrews; a brother, B.W. Andrews; a stepson, Thomas Montgomery; a daughter-in-law, Valerie Baker; and a grandson, Matt Fitzgerald.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or the American Cancer Society.
