Marilyn Sue Dame, daughter of the late Ira and Elizabeth Haubold Simmons, was born June 26, 1939, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed her life Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 84.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee, Missouri, as well as the PEO in Chaffee.
Marilyn was a homemaker and former teacher's aide at Chaffee Elementary School.
Survivors include three sons, Alan (Gail) Dame of Wolf Lake, Illinois, Jeremy (Stacey) Dame of Oran, Missouri, and Jordan Dame of Denver; brother, Randy (Cheryl) Simmons of Holt, Missouri; four grandchildren, Colin (Katessa) Dame, Bailey (Brett) Blair, Carter Dame and Logan Dame; and great-granddaughter, Myla Dame.
Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Jones.
Visitation and funeral were held Thursday, Dec. 21, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Interment followed in Forrest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, Missouri.
