Marilyn Kay Bowers, 74, of Jackson passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 3, 1946, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Glendon Dale and Fern Louise Volpp Bowers.
Marilyn graduated from Southport High School, Indianapolis, and Indiana State University at Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was employed as an aquatics instructor at Southeast Missouri State University and later at the University of West Virginia.
She is survived by brothers, Bruce Dale (Beverly) Bowers of Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Dennis Charles (Carla) Bowers of Jackson. She is also survived by two nieces, Becky (Tim) Neff and Kandra (Merit) Voshage; one nephew, Robert (Kari) Bowers; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Marilyn was proceeded in death by both parents.
A private celebration of life to be held at a later date by family.
Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
