Marie Withers

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. � Alice �Marie� Rhodes Withers, 97, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Maryland Heights.

A longtime resident of Florissant, Missouri, she was a daughter of Charles Pinkney Rhodes and Leora Etta Mollenhour Rhodes. She married John Withers on March 26, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Rhodes; her mother, Leora Etta Rhodes; husband, John Withers; daughter, Deloma A. Withers; brothers, Paul, John Henry, Willard and Leonard; and sisters, Dorothy Goodman, Virginia Flowers, Lucille Kidd and LaVerne Langston.

She is survived by a sister, Louella Nothdurft; a son, Floyd Withers; daughters, Margaret Withers, Robin Brewer and Sheryl Heafner; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Road, Florissant, MO 63031.

A graveside service will be a 1 p.m. Thursday at Stroderville Cemetery, 2044 County Road 389, in Whitewater.
