DEXTER -- Marie Wilson, 85, of Calhoun, Ga., died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at her home. She was born Oct. 23, 1913, at Dexter, daughter of Robert Lee and Lottie Emma McFarlen Gillis. She and Thomas Lee Wilson were married Oct. 21, 1937, at Benton. He died March 21, 1959...

DEXTER -- Marie Wilson, 85, of Calhoun, Ga., died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at her home.

She was born Oct. 23, 1913, at Dexter, daughter of Robert Lee and Lottie Emma McFarlen Gillis. She and Thomas Lee Wilson were married Oct. 21, 1937, at Benton. He died March 21, 1959.

Wilson moved to Georgia six years ago from Dexter. She retired as a seamstress at Elder Manufacturing Co. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Dexter.

Survivors include a son, David Wilson of Calhoun; a daughter, Linda Wilson of Calhoun; a sister, Estalee Miller of Dexter; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dale Grissom will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
