Marie Ward

Marie Ward, 91, of Gideon, Mo., died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Gideon Care Center. She was born May 2, 1916, at Hayward, Mo., daughter of Walter Dean and Elsa Mae Maloney Roberson. Marie Ward, 91, of Gideon, Mo., died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Gideon Care Center.

She was born May 2, 1916, at Hayward, Mo., daughter of Walter Dean and Elsa Mae Maloney Roberson. She and Ulys Ward were married July 20, 1935. He died Dec. 19, 1983.

Ward was a member of First Baptist Church, WMU, and Civic Club in Clarkton, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Karein Robinson of Brandon, Miss.; three sons, Allen Ward of Gideon, Larry Ward of Cape Girardeau, Ulys Ward of San Miguel, Mexico; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and two sisters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo. The Revs. Nick Robertson and Lewis Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery at Portageville, Mo.
