MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Marie Tippett, 89, of Marble Hill died Monday, June 20, 2005, at her home. She was born March 31, 1916, near Advance, Mo., daughter of Oria Carman and Dottie Lorna Wiggins Harris. She and Troy Marion Tippett Sr. were married Oct. 24, 1941. He died Dec. 28, 2000...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Marie Tippett, 89, of Marble Hill died Monday, June 20, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 31, 1916, near Advance, Mo., daughter of Oria Carman and Dottie Lorna Wiggins Harris. She and Troy Marion Tippett Sr. were married Oct. 24, 1941. He died Dec. 28, 2000.

Tippett had been a teacher with Woodland School District. She was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Troy Tippett II of Pensacola, Fla., Brian Tippett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and five granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
