Ruby Marie Rubel, 92, of Jackson died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Martin P. and Leona H. Shearf Ringwald. She graduated from College High School in Cape Girardeau.
She and Fred E. Rubel were married June 23, 1946, at Egypt Mills. He passed away April 20, 1988.
Marie retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau. She loved cooking chicken and dumplings, and baking chocolate-chip cookies.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel and the Ladies Guild.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. "Bob" (Bonnie) Rubel of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Nancy L. Beal of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Paul (Verna) Ringwald of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-stepgrandson; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Melvin Beal; a brother; and two half sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating.
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel Ladies Guild or Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
