BENTON, Mo. -- Evelyn Marie Robert, 86, of Benton died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Country Place in Scott City.

She was born Sept. 22, 1934, to John Herbert and Eunice Marie Kirby Hency.

Marie and Jordan "Gus" Theon Robert were married Sept. 20, 1956, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.

She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.

She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society of Benton and the Senior Citizens Center in Benton and Kelso, Missouri.

She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Bruce) Glastetter of Benton; son, Ken Robert of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son-in-law, Jimmy Lovett of Charleston, Missouri; two brothers, Jim (Karen) Hency of Arkansas and Paul (Fern) Hency of Florida; six grandchildren, Seth Robert, Megan (Josh) Robert-Bailey, Trevor (Dawn) Lovett, Keith (Denetra) Glastetter, Holly Buchanan and Heather (Mark Ballard) Glastetter; and eight great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Becky Lovett; a son, Keith Robert; and a niece, Kim.

Private Mass will be celebrated Thursday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton with the Rev. Bala Govindu officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
