SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marie Muench, 61, of Sikeston died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at her home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Maryland Point, Md., daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Olive Bell Wilson Greenwood. She and Carl J. Muench Jr. were married Oct. 16, 1964, in Washington, D.C.
Muench was a registered nurse and was director of nursing in a convalescent center more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and member of Altar Guild, ECW, and delegate to the diocese convention.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Lynda Muench and Amy Smith of Sikeston, Patti Dobbs of Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, Everett Greenwood of Casa Grande, Ariz., Carl Greenwood of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Virginia Scott of Frederick, Md., Becky Howdershalt of Fredericksburg, Va.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a brother.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Church, with the Rev. Marion Rectenwald officiating. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at St. Paul's Church.
