MARIE L. HAYNES

ADVANCE -- Marie L. Haynes, 64, of Advance died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1936, in Tennessee, daughter of Granville and Vera Young Harper.

She and Robert W. Haynes were married June 10, 1960. He died July 31, 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Haynes of Advance and Charles Haynes of Marble Hill; eight daughters, Debbie Thornburg, Jerri Clark, Joyce Lemons, Ruby Franklin and Janice Haynes of Zalma, Ida Jones of Brownwood, Diane Haynes of Puxico and Beckie Creuton of Morehouse; a brother, Gerald Harper of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Naamon Eakers officiating. Burial will be in Haynes Cemetery near Burfordville.
