Marie Jackson

Marie Jackson, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 16, 1914, in Dix, Ill., daughter of Arr and Mary Mallie Dodson. She and Homer Jackson were married in 1933. He died in 1978.

Jackson was formerly of Olive Branch, Ill.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Butler of McClure, Ill.; two sons, Michael Jackson of Paducah, Ky., Ron Jackson of Boise, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sons, a grandson, sisters and brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes, Ill.
