Marie Frances Hinni, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 25, 2015, in Scottsdale, Arizona, of complications from Parkinson's disease.
She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Perryville, Missouri, to Daniel and Mable Miget Berkbigler. She and John Hinni were married in 1959.
Marie graduated from St. Vincent High School, attended Southeast Missouri and Northwestern University. She was manager of Hartford's ladies store many years and subsequently worked in the Tumor Registry Department of Saint Francis Medical Center, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, John Jr. "Jack" of St. Louis and Dr. Michael Hinni (Jill) of Fountain Hills, Arizona; and four grandchildren, Stella and Emily Hinni of St. Louis and Brandon and Danielle Hinni of Fountain Hills; five sisters, Rose Mary Stenech of Tucson, Arizona, Anna Mae Balsman (Larry) of Miami, Nina Gross of Godfrey, Illinois, Merle Bradford of St. Louis and Pearl Moore (Bill) of Hammond, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Daniel Jr. and Robert.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
