Laura "Marie" Haynie, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Goodman, Miss., daughter of Johnny Pete and Laura Anna Mandy Cotton Burrell. She and Thomas Walter Haynie were married Nov. 25, 1948, in Osceola, Ark. He died Oct. 8, 1999.
Haynie was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl "Sherry" Watkins of Southaven, Miss., Bonnie Daugherty of Cape Girardeau, Rebekah Hoffmann of Highland, Ill.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with Dr. Derek Staples officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
