MARIE GRANT

CLARKTON, Mo. -- Marie Caroline Grant, 76, of Clarkton died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Mercy Franciscan Western Hills in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Marvell, Ark., daughter of John and Louisa Fredericka Ebert Gschwend. She and Denver Grant were married Dec. 21, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. He died Dec. 26, 1980.

Grant had been a cook at Clarkton Schools. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Clarkton.

Survivors include three sons, Danny and John Grant of Malden, Mo., Roger Grant of Cincinnati; a daughter, Carolyn Hale of Jackson, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and four sisters.

Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
