JACKSON -- Marie Crader Miller, age 69, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2000, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on January 16, 1930 in Patton, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd and Ella Ruessler Brotherton. In November, 1947, she married Linus Crader. In July, 1977, she married Glenn Miller.

Survivors include 2-sons and daughters-in-law, Harold D. and Linda Crader of Hawk Point, Missouri and Randy L. and Martha Crader of Burfordville; 1-daughter, Gloria J. Brotherton of Jackson; 1-brother, Delmar Brotherton of Cape Girardeau; 2-sisters, Laura Helen Smith of Jackson and Bessie Bryant of Weaverville, North Carolina; 5-grandsons, Michael W. Crader, Richard A. Crader, Travis L. Crader, Justin M. Crader and Shannon L. Brotherton; 3-granddaughters, Tina D. Goldsmith, Samantha J. Crader and Kristy L. Brotherton; and 3-greatgrandsons, Michael W. Crader, Jr., Dallas W. Crader and Jacob A. Goldsmith. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3-brothers and 2-sisters.

Ms. Miller lived in the Burfordville community for many years. She was a member of the Burfordville Baptist Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Whitewater. She worked at Proctor and Gamble and also served on their Safety Committee. She retired from there on January 16, 1990, after 18 years of service. Prior to working at P&G, she worked at the former Atlas Plastics in Cape, the former Superior Electric in Cape and the Shoe Factory in Jackson.

Friends may call at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson on Friday, January 7th between 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8th at the funeral home, followed by interment in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Rev. Tom Bray will officiate.
