Marie S. Bueltemann, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Jan. 5, 1916, in Reynolds County, Mo., to Otto and Elsie Brooks Middleton.

She and Nelson H. Bueltemann were married Feb. 12, 1938, at Benton, Mo. He died April 18, 1980.

Marie volunteered at Southeast Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a lifelong member of the Grace United Methodist Church and VFW Post 3838 Ladies Auxiliary. Marie was also a Cub Scouts den mother when her children were young. She worked at the local "dime store," Davis Electric, Sears, Kids Wear Again and Missouri Litho Printing.

Survivors include sons Richard (Rose) Bueltemann of Cape Girardeau and Gary (Mary Ann) Bueltemann of Waterloo, Ill.; sisters Imogene Harter of Columbia, Ill., and Lorraine Wood of Fredericktown, Mo.; a brother, Joe Middleton of Centerville, Mo.; grandchildren, Sharla (Keith) Tanner, Cheryl (Mark) Mueller and Shannel Bueltemann, all of Cape Girardeau, David (Denise) Bueltemann and Kevin (Angie) Bueltemann of Columbia, Ill.; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel with VFW Post 3838 Ladies Auxiliary services at 6:30 p.m.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Grace United Methodist Church or Diabetes Association.
