MARIE A. KNUPP

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Marie Alice Knupp, 81, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1992, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

She was born Feb. 15, 1911, at Anna, daughter of William and Ora Gourley Thorne. She married Owen Knupp April 29, 1946, in Vienna, Ill. He died in 1971.

Knupp was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include a son, Gary Knupp of Jonesboro; a daughter, Mary McDonald of Kankakee; a sister, Tricia Koonce of Sullivan, Mo.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Norris and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Ford will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
