Marian LaFoe, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Conway, Arkansas, to William Harrison and Elizabeth Kuykendal Keller. She and Harry E. LaFoe were married at First Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Louisiana, Sept. 6, 1952.
She taught kindergarten at Oak Grove Grade School for five years and was a professor teaching home economics at Northeast Louisiana State University in Monroe, Louisiana.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her two sons, Dr. William K. (Patricia) LaFoe of Cape Girardeau and Harry Edward (Bonnie) LaFoe Jr. of Berthoud, Colorado; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (fiance, Ben Frederick) LaFoe, William Keller (Kate) LaFoe, Andrew Patrick LaFoe, Katie LaFoe (Cory) Miller and Laura LaFoe (Jason) Igo; and four great-grandchildren, Julianna Miller, Abigail Miller, William Miller and Elinor Igo.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Revs. Tyler Tankersley and Mike Shupert officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Baptist Student Center in Cape Girardeau.
