ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Maria Reyna Lopez, 68, of Alto Pass died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Ojo de Agua, Guanajuato, Mexico, daughter of Jesus Carmona and Perfeta Amezquita. She and David Lopez were married March 13, 1956, in Santiago Marabatio, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Jose Lopez of Houston, Salvador Lopez of Cobden, Ill., Nicolas Lopez and Gabriel Lopez of Alto Pass; four daughters, Maria Guadalupe Murillo of Alto Pass, Maria Reyna Lopez of Mexico, Carmela Martinez of Cobden, Monica Godinez of Jonesboro, Ill.; a sister, Consuelo Martinez of Carbondale, Ill.; a brother, Jose Carmona of Mexico; 28 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Uriel Salamanca officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
