CAIRO, Ill. -- Marguerite E. Profilet, 85, of Cairo died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Dec. 24, 1911, in Cairo, daughter of Frank and Catherine Zettler Walder. She married Curtis E. Profilet, who died in 1983.
Profilet was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary, and Anna Stitchers Sewing Club.
Survivors include two sons, John Profilet of Anna, Jim Profilet of Jackson, Mo.; 11 daughters, Mary Eblen of Anna, Barbara Newbury of Helena, Ark., Pat Sullivan of White Pigeon, Mich., Marge Harper of Owensboro, Ky., Janet Burkstaller of Sarasota, Fla., Martha Lankheit of Charleston, Mo., Kay Wild of Pensacola, Fla., Sara Lancaster of Germantown, Tenn., Donna Fox of Union City, Tenn., Ginny Ponting of Lone Oak, Ky., Emilie Martin of Cairo.
Also surviving are two sisters, Rose Hughes of Jackson, Mary Carter of Decatur; two brothers, George Walder of Peoria, Bob Walder of Evansville, Ind.; 35 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Revs. Tom Miller, Jim Dougherty and Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
