MARGUERITE MATTHEWS

DEXTER -- Marguerite "Marge" Matthews, 67, of Dexter died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at her home.

She was born June 23, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of William and Mable Burkin Davis. She and Walter G. Matthews were married Aug. 27, 1960, in St. Louis.

Matthews lived in St. Louis several years, moving to Dexter in 1975.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Carl Matthews of Carmi, Ill.; a brother, Billy Davis of Granite City, Ill.; and a sister, Doris Hotop of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, with the Rev. George Hill officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.
