Marguerite James, 90, of Kirkwood, Mo. and formerly of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at Manor Grove in Kirkwood.
She was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Bollinger County, daughter of Earnest and Della Limbaugh Mayfield. She was married Sept. 9, 1939, to Jake James, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1989.
James worked as a machinist for International Shoe in Jackson and then was a CNA at Southeast Hospital. She was a member of Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include her sister, JoAnn Hahs of Cuba, Mo.; a brother, Fred Mayfield of DeSoto, Mo.; a granddaughter, Ann Pietroburgo of Kirkwood; and three great grandchildren, Oscar and Arthur Pietroburgo and Layla Linehan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Azilea, and five brothers, Gene, Dean, Larry, Glenn and George.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home Friday from 10:30 a.m. to the time of her service.
Funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Don Estes will officiate, with burial in Cape County Memorial Park.
