Marguerite Hayden

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marguerite Hayden, 88, of Park Ridge, Ill., formerly of Sikeston, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.

She was born Oct. 16, 1913, at Repton, Ky., daughter of William and Linnie M. Ritch Heath. She and James H. Hayden Jr. were married April 22, 1931, in Wickliffe, Ky. He died Dec. 6, 1995.

Hayden was a sales associate and buyer many years with Marshall Field Department Stores in Chicago. She was a member of Park Ridge First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Hayden of Des Plaines, Ill.; a daughter, Rita Traversone of Chicago; two sisters, Betty Mitchell of Sikeston, Mary Diehl of Waterloo, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
