Margaret A. "Chicken" Trawick, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Fresno, Calif., daughter of Demar and Nova Love Lewis. She and Fred Trawick were married Sept. 29, 1960.

Trawick was a graduate of Delano High School and Long Beach College.

She was a member of St. James AME Church, where she was a stewardess, usher and missionary. She was a member of Princess Oziel Chapter 101 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Vickie Warrior of Cerritos, Calif., Jerlin Knight and Fredrica Trawick of Cape Girardeau, Bridget McGriff of Los Angeles; a brother, Eugene Lewis of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Frieda Murphy of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at St. James AME Church. Eastern Star rites will be at 11:30.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Debbie Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.

Williams Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
