KELSO, Mo. -- Margaret T. Tracy, 76, of Kelso passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 21, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Phillip and Cecelia Teahan Staebel. She and Gary Tracy Sr. were united in marriage Jan. 28, 1960, and he passed away in 1965.
Margaret joined the U.S. Navy in 1959, when she graduated high school. She met her husband, Gary, who was serving in the U.S. Marines.
She worked for Southwestern Bell, Missouri Utilities and Southeast Hospital until her retirement. She loved working in the outdoors, gardening and delivering Meals on Wheels for years.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Margie) Tracy Jr. of Jackson; a daughter, Cindy (Tony) Ignacio of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Rosemary (Howard) Meek of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Gary Tracy Sr., and parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau.
There will be no services conducted.
Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
