Margaret Louise Shelton, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Anna, Illnois, to Robert and Vida Mayberry.
She and Bill Shelton were married for 42 years.
Margaret valued family, her religion and the importance of a home-cooked meal.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Abernathy; son, Brian (Lyndsay) Shelton; brother, Bobby (Loralie) Mayberry; sisters, Sue (Clyde) Emerson, Barbara (Donnie) Charles and Sharon (Ronald) Alstat; grandchildren, Tanisha (Trey) Clay and Gunner Shelton; and great-grandchild, Paxton Clay.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Valley Mission Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro, Illinois.
