A memorial service for Margaret M. Poe of Cape Girardeau was held May 28 at Saxony Village. The Rev. Richard Northcutt officiated. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita, Kan.

Poe, 86, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, in a hospital in Longview, Texas.

She was born May 9, 1913, in Winfield, Kan., daughter of Carl and Mildred Fisher. She and Wilford N. Haas were married Jan. 6, 1935. He died June 15, 1970. She married Roy W. Poe July 5, 1975, in Jackson. He died Aug. 13, 1998.

Poe moved to Jackson in 1975 from Wichita, and had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1998. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and P.E.O. She was a former volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center.

Survivors include a son, Bradford Haas of Van Buren, Ark.; a daughter, Brenda Hicks of Longview; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
