PAINTON, Mo. -- Margaret Ann Kinder, 79, of Painton passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 20, 1938, in New Madrid County, Missouri, the daughter of Waymon and Cecile Brotherton Halford.
Margaret worked at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for 25 years as a licensed practical nurse. Most recently, she worked in home health care.
She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed sewing and crafting. She loved her family very much.
Margaret and James Leon Kinder were united in marriage Feb. 20, 1954, at Piggott, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death March 31, 1996.
Loving survivors include two sons, David (Linda) Kinder of Marthasville, Missouri, and Kevin Kinder of Painton; three daughters, Patricia (Becky Bohannan) Kinder of Scott City, Lisa (Gale) Stewart of Bell City, Missouri, and Myra (Jerome) Eichhorn of Scott City; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Emily, Hannah, Blaine, Sarah, Aaron and Alex; and 11 great-grandchildren, Haley, Katherine, Landon, Elizabeth, Micah, Laney, Eli, William, James, Coleman and Ella.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and a grandson, Gabe Kinder.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating.
