Margaret Mary "Margie" Joyce, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Estates of Perryville in Perryville, Missouri. She was born June 12, 1938, in Cape Girardeau County to James and Ella Fisher Crader. She and Gerald Clyde "Bud" Joyce Sr. were married Oct. 28, 1955. He preceded her in death April 18, 1998...

Margaret Mary "Margie" Joyce, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Estates of Perryville in Perryville, Missouri.

She was born June 12, 1938, in Cape Girardeau County to James and Ella Fisher Crader. She and Gerald Clyde "Bud" Joyce Sr. were married Oct. 28, 1955. He preceded her in death April 18, 1998.

She worked for Florsheim Shoe Co. and Tipton Laundry.

She was a member of Eagles. She loved going to yard sales, shopping and playing bingo.

She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three sons, Roy Joyce of Cape Girardeau, John (Robin) Joyce of Advance, Missouri, and Don Joyce of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Little Lee Joyce, April Fries, Shontell Boyer, Johnny Joyce Jr., Heather Muse, Trevor Joyce, Tasha Joyce and Brandon Joyce; and stepgrandchildren, Joshua Proffer, Nicki Streans and Joshua Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Jackie Ray and Ronnie Joe Joyce; three sisters; a brother; and a stepson, Gerald "Buddy" Joyce Jr.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Joyce officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
