PORTAGEVILLE -- Margaret Irene McFerrin, 66, of Portageville died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
She was born Oct. 29, 1932, at Pascola, daughter of Issac and Beatrice Griffin Jeffery.
She married Bennie McFerrin on July 20, 1953. He survives.
Survivors include four sons, Bennie Lee McFerrin of East Chicago, Ind., Morris Jeffery and Jerry McFerrin, both of Gary Ind., and Tommy Lewis, of Gary, Ga.; 11 daughters, Barbara Jean McFerrin, Dorville, Ga., Barbara Ann Taylor and Linda Beatrice McFerrin, both of East Chicago, Jeanette McFerrin of Fayetteville, N.C., Patricia Ann McFerrin, Mary Ann Glenn and Teviss Douglas, all of Gary, Ind., Bernice Barker of Indianapolis, Ind., Annette McFerrin and Stephanie McFerrin, both of Norcross, Ga., and Trudy Taylor of Duluth, Ga.; a sister, Hattie Preyer of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Johnny Jeffery of Eden, N.C., and Tommy Lee Jeffery of Gary, Ind., 55 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held Monday at the Zion Rock Baptist Church in Portageville at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Ernest Willis officiating. Interment will be in Portageville City Cemetery.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home at Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the church in Portageville from 11 a.m to service time Monday.
