Funeral Mass for Margaret Lucille Hunter of Salt Lake City, Utah, was held May 27, 2000, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Salt Lake City. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary in Salt Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
Hunter, 78, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, in a Salt Lake City hospital.
She was born June 15, 1921, in Jackson, daughter of George and Marie Kelly. She and Ovid Nathan Hunter were married in 1940 in Cape Girardeau.
Hunter was a graduate of St. Mary's High School (now Notre Dame) in Cape Girardeau, and attended the University of Utah.
She became a real estate agent and broker at the age of 60.
Hunter served as president of St. Ambrose Altar Society and was a member of Catholic Women's League. She served as president of the Springfield, Ill., Newcomers Association and as vice president of the University of Utah Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Michael Hunter of Salt Lake City, John Hunter of Mansfield, Texas; two daughters, Patricia Slezak of St. George, Utah, Sue Vlamakis of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
