STEELVILLE, Mo. -- Margaret Anita Collins, 76, of Steelville passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007, at her daughter's home in Steelville.

She was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Kewanee, Mo., to Charles L. and Ruby Gentry Woods. She was married to Richard Harrington and later to Howard Collins.

Loving survivors include three sons, Guy Edward (Lynn) Harrington of Caseyville, Ill., Howard (Cheryl) Collins of Fruitland, and Harold (Terry) Collins of Delta; three daughters, Darlene (Roger) Donal of Steelville, Linda (Frank) Hagenhoff of Jefferson City, Mo., Deborah (Eddie) Gray of Shreveport, La.; a brother, Charles Edward Woods of Crump; and a sister, Ava Louise Johns of Catawissa, Mo.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Anita Donal, Kenneth Donal (fiancé Tamara Gwaltney), Clinton (Christina) Donal, Sue Hager, Edward (Valerie) Harrington, Charles (Elizabeth) Harrington, Patty Harrington, Deborah (Randal) Hudson, Kelly (Jason) Graham, Shawanna Hagenhoff, Christy (Dennis) Martin, Alan Collins, Calyee Collins; 16 great-grandchildren, Cierra, Jaden, Zachary, Tyler, Hanna, McKinzee, Nathanel, Storm, Kyle, Kirsten, Morgan, Charlie, Edward, Jacob, Kateline, and Jordon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Danielle Gray.

Margaret was a cook on a tugboat in Missouri many years. She loved being with her family and looked forward every evening for a call from one of her daughters. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and crafts in her spare time.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Claunch officiating. Vocal arrangements of "In the Garden" and "Beulah Land" will be sung by granddaughter Anita Donal.

Casketbearers are Kenneth Donal, Clinton Donal, Michael Paul Strayhorn, Charles Harrington, Edward Harrington and Dennis Martin.

Burial will follow in Proffer Cemetery at Crump with committal prayers and "Amazing Grace" sung by Anita Donal.

Arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville.
