Margaret Cain

TAMMS, Ill. -- Margaret Cain, 86, of Tamms died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Union County, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Messamore Brown. She and Ed Cain were married Jan. 13, 1944. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1987.

Margaret loved sewing and gardening. She was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine (Kevin) Lasher of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Ron (Judy) Cain of Tamms, Kevin (Amy) Cain of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Shelby (Scott) Edwards, Tim (April) Cain, Justin (Carrie) Cain, Rachel (Zachary) Long, Alex Lasher and Jodi Lasher; eight great-grandchildren, R.J. (Kimmie), Crystal, Mason, Sidney, Sam, Zander and twins Elliott and Elizabeth; two great-great-grandchildren, Jamie and Chloe; a sister, Ludene Copeland of Anna, Ill.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Collin Brown.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and noon to service time Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Earnest Brown and the Rev. Dale Billingsley officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
