Margaret Virginia "Jenny" Briscoe, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Bert Justice and Ruth Adele Holliday Briscoe.

She had a long career as a food and beverage director at the Royal N'Orleans, Dalhousie Golf Club and retired from the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Jenny was an avid bowler and loved fishing with Robert "Bob". They enjoyed many adventures and cruises together, and along the way, Bob nicknamed her "Mouse", which stuck with her over the years.

Survivors include her loving, lifelong companion, Robert E. Breeding of Cape Girardeau; son, Timothy L. Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; sister, Mary Blagg of Poplar Bluff; nieces and nephews, Anita Mize of St. Louis, Linda (Bobby) Miller and James Steven (Sandy) Mize of Jackson, and Sharron McElaney, Phyllis Miller, David Blagg and Gloria Laguna of Poplar Bluff.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Loretta Mize.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
