MARGARET BOM

BENTON -- Margaret Ellen Bom, 91, of Benton died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 27, 1906, at Commerce, daughter of Walter "Pete" and Elsie Sanders Wise. She and Letcher A. Bom were married March 22, 1926, at Benton. He died March 3, 1998.

She owned and operated Boms Grocery and was a past Worthy Matron of the Commerce Eastern Star. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert Bom of Cincinnati and Robert Bom of Benton; a brother, Paul Wise of Sikeston; two sisters, Grace Clark of Jackson and Pauline Jacobs of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate, with burial at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
