Margaret Bachmann

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Margaret E. Bachmann, 103, of Perryville died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born May 14, 1905, at Sereno, Mo., daughter of Ed and Louise Villhard Valleroy. She and Theodor M. Bachmann were married May 6, 1928. He died July 3, 1973.

Bachmann had been a cook at Immanuel Lutheran School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Feltz of Perryville; three sons, Robert Bachmann of Lexington, Ky., Melvin Bachmann of St. Louis, Calvin Bachmann of Perryville; a brother, Clarence Valleroy of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
