MARCELLA DIEBOLD

ORAN -- Marcella C. Diebold, 84, of Oran died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 5, 1913, near Oran, daughter of Emil and Bertha Metz Stubenrauch. She and Leon W. Diebold were married Dec. 29, 1932.

Diebold was a machine operator at International Hat Co. in Oran 22 years. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerome Diebold of Oran; two daughters, Shirley Bennett of Lake Worth, Fla., Ella Callow of Shelby, Miss.; a brother, Herman Stubenrauch of Scott City; a sister, Stella Graviett of Oran; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
